Hailing from the outskirts of Brighton, ed began his hospitality journey front of house in an independent venue, where he honed the skills and resilience needed to manage a bustling establishment. While studying at the university of Manchester, Ed balanced additional jobs, gaining valuable experience in sales and recruitment, where he built teams and earned a reputation for success with public sector clients.
After returning to the south, Ed joined DesignMyNight, where he played a pivotal role in expanding the account management team and managed key accounts like Yo! Sushi, City Pub Company, and the Rank Group. His collaboration with development teams to enhance API and webhooks with CRM and EPOS systems showcased his technical prowess.
At bums on seats, ed has been instrumental in advising major tech companies on product roadmaps, especially in response to the evolving market post-covid-19. He crafted the Bums on Seats reviews and health checks, implementing them successfully for clients, and took charge of building and maintaining strategic partnerships within the sector.
Ed’s proven expertise across operational, systems, and sales responsibilities makes him ideally suited to deliver profitable pre-booked sales while ensuring a welcoming experience for customers and clients. In late 2023, Ed was proudly made a business partner, marking a new chapter in his leadership journey.
Outside of work, Ed enjoys exploring innovative tech trends, supporting local venues, and spending time with family and friends in his beloved Brighton.
